About Hack Tech Valley
Hack Tech Valley, presented by Transfinder, is the first-of-its-kind event in the region. This 24-hour hackathon will be held in Schenectady, NY on February 10-11, 2018. A large cash prize for first place will be awarded, along with generous second and third place prizes and hourly raffles.

The challenge and prize categories will be announced during opening ceremonies. Teams will then have 24 hours to design, code, test and submit their projects to be judged by a panel. There is no preferred programming language and mentors will be available for those seeking assistance.
Awards will be presented during closing ceremonies.
What if I get hungry?
Throughout the competition, meals, snacks, and yes, a lot of coffee and energy drinks will be provided.

Along with the main competition, Hack Tech Valley will have several categories open for prizes.

Hack Tech Valley is open to students, professionals, and anyone that wants to put their development skills to the test (18+ years old).
$20,000 in prizes
Prizes will be awarded across categories and will be a cash value of $5,000.00. Additional prizes, including raffles and in-kind sponsorships will be given, totaling $20,000
